Resolution Run, Thursday, January 1, 2003
The 1st Annual Resolution run went well yesterday. Dave Geary, Phil Dunn, and Steve Whittey were the three Team Gloucester regulars among the 20 or so people that showed up.
Even though it was “non-competitive," Whittey took off like a space-shuttle. However, he got confused at the turn around point, allowing Geary, Chris Dewolfe, and a certain pint-size dynamo to overtake him.
That order would hold, with DeWolfe finishing first and Geary coming in second. But as Geary noted, "the kicker is Steve got beat by that nine year old girl Claire who holds that all-american title for her age group."
After the run Team Glocuester runners couldn't resist the perfect weather and went out for a little cool down up into Ravenswood. finishing at Phil’s house in West Gloucester.
