The 15k Great Stew Chase, Sunday, February 1, 2004

Layce Alves and Dave Geary represented Team Gloucester at the Stew Chase. Geary held the lead over the first 7 miles, when Alves caught up to him. The two ran together until the final half mile, when Alves pulled away.

Alves finished 53rd overall in 1:09:19, and was 3rd in her division. Geary, unable to match Alves' final kick, was 54th in 1:09:30, slipping under his goal time of 70 minutes and running 4 minutes faster than last year.
