Team Gloucester: A Trail and Mountain Running Club in Gloucester, MA

Each 4th of July about 1,500 hundred men, women and children mostly in, around and near Bridgeton, ME. turn out for Bridgeton's Four on the Fourth 4-mile road race. But 10th place belongs to Gloucester.

This year, 51-year-old John Barbour from Gloucester was 10th with a time of 22:11, first in his age category. Last year Barbour was also 10th with a time of 22:14. And the year before last Gloucester's Matt Curran was 10th with a time of 22:08. This year Curran, 48, was 13th of the 1,457 finishers with a time of 22:43. he was also first in his age category.

Kathy McLear from Gloucester, 49, also ran with a time of 38:39 good for 671st.

Sean Livingston of Rhode Island was 1st to finish with a 20:26 and Penny McDermott of Bridgeton was the first among the women with a 23:24 good for 31st overall.
