The first ever Christmas Day Run went off
without any problems. It was hosted by
Dave and started at his house and went up into the vast wilderness of Ravenswood. There were only 3 participants this year Dave, Bob, and little Ricky.
Hopefully this will grow to become another one of those traditions over the years. The weather could not have been better and we all were clad in shorts and long sleeve shirts. The run was awesome and was not done at a breakneck pace.
Nobody got lost, although Rick wanted to make a right turn at Albuquerque and lead us all over to the Fernwood Lake when we wanted to just visit the swamp. Needless to say, Dave took over the lead after that one to ensure we did not end up like we did in New Way on Sunday.
On the way back up the Bond St./Marshfield St. hill Rick thought he would test Dave on his own turf; he took off going up the hill, only to find out what it feels like to pick the sand the DPW Truck laid on the street from his teeth when Dave went past him. When will little Ricky learn?
After the run everyone was treated to coffee and muffins that
Dave and Betty Crocker made at Dave's house.
