Bob, Steve, Dave, Peter V, Matt and Peter W showed up at New Way Sunday. About 45 minutes into the run they split into the 90-minute group (the Peters) and the 120 minute group (Bob, Steve, Dave and Matt), each pretty sure that the other didn't know where they were or where they were going.

About an hour into the 45-minute trek back to the cars and after touching base in Manchester more than once just to make sure it really was Manchester and not Peabody, the Peters ran into a three man search party -- Bob, Steve and Matt -- who had set out on a rescue mission after they had returned to the cars on New Way only to find the Peters' cars unmoved.

Dave had stayed behind so that there would be someone to tell the story if the other five were never heard from again. (editor's note: how nice of him...).

Fifteen minutes later and after spurning Matt's attempt to lead a summiting expedition to the top of Mt. Ann the five finished their 90 minute and 120 minute runs in about 145 minutes. No bee stings. One fall (Peter W). No blood.
