Matt Curran and Layce Alves were the top men's and women's finishers at the second annual Run for the Ribbon.

Curran took the front early and had a commanding lead by the first "mile" on his way to a 29:14 finish, more than two minutes ahead of the second-place finisher. Rounding out the top five were Lyman Perry (31:59), Ed Herman (32:18), Steve Whittey (32:33), and Joe Maloney (32:45).

On the woman's side, Layce Alves also dominated, placing nearly 5 minutes ahead of her closest female competitor. Alves was 7th overall with a 34:19 finish, exactly two minutes faster than her time on the same course in May.

Pete Watson, sporting a shiny new necklace in place of his signature purple beads, finished 16th in 41:26. Want to know what the horn is? You'll have to ask him yourself.
