The Sixth Annual Ravenswood Trail Race, Sunday, October 19, 2008
October, 19, 2008: Despite cold winds and semi-cloudy skies, the 2008 Ravenswood Trail Race saw a record crowd once again, with 140 entrants and 117 runners on the trail. Mike Quintal was the overall men's winner, covering the 4.1mile course in a time of 28:09. On the women's side, Layce Alves was tops, finishing 33:32 and just missing the course record of 33:25, held by Katie Taormina.
The overall masters winners were Stacey Lane, finishing in 36:36, and Bob Gillis, finishing in 32:24.

The race featured the largest post-race spread yet, thanks to the generous contributions from volunteers, and what was probably the most stacked raffle to date, including a Timex time & distance system, and shoes and apparel from La Sportiva.
